The Scorpio new moon in October, for those who live in the northern hemisphere, is the celebration of the harvest. In some ancient cultures it was the beginning and the end of the year. The Scorpio energy brings undoing as well as creating and is a time to be grateful for all we have received in the previous twelve months. It is a time to honor where we began. A time to pay homage to our ancestors and those who came before us. The new moon is a time to sprinkle the seed of thought on the fertile ground of manifestation. The secret to getting more of what you want, is loving and honoring what you have.
Samhain, the final day of October, is the holiday for just that.

Samhain is the celebration of the harvest and the honoring of the ancestors. It is a time to share your many gifts. For some it is a new years eve. Celebrate and be grateful for all of the gifts you have received in the last thirteen moons.

The power of Pluto charges this season of the year through the sign of Scorpio, the signature of this new moon. Pluto brings us money from outside sources. He demands that we do things by choice. He insists that we alchemically metamorphose to reach our higher calling.

Manifestation goes beyond the accumulation of things. The powers of attraction occur at all levels simultaneously in our lives. The resources to sustain our lives, the people we interact with and all of the energies that influence our paths are all woven together.

The planet Mercury, keeper of communication and excursions, conjoins this new moon. He asks that we articulate what we have been storing deep inside. Now is the time to express your needs and desires. Draw from deep inside of yourself in order to accomplish this.

The Goddess Venus is also close at hand. During this moon cycle she asks us to look at what we are intensely attracted to. Stirring deep inside of you are long term yearnings. Do you have the fortitude to follow through? Are you able to feel good about what you think you want? Do you like what others find captivating in you? Act it all out. This will stir your current and guide you towards your desired shore.
