How do you see the past year of your life? Do you feel the greatness that you are? Do you know how much you matter? Our lives are intertwined and we acknowledge you. In some way we all support each other and our contributions create this world. Many, many blessings to you, Cynthia |

The cycle of the year is drawing to a close, and today we celebrate the last New Moon of 2004. The New Moon brings the gift of allowing us to look deep into the darkness, for our eyes to adjust to the Moonless night and see what is normally hidden. Are you hiding from your sacredness? Are you hiding the wealth that your presence brings at this special time? Are you hiding from the acknowledgement of the difference you make? It is so easy for us to get caught up in the journey, the quest, the life purpose and the laundry, that we overlook what we contribute just by being here right now. We can get so involved in the self-improvement track, the spiritual seeking and all our plans for the future that we gloss over the space that we are holding in the ever present now. It is so easy for us to take ourselves for granted, to assume that what we are doing is mundane because it is familiar. Each of us holds and occupies a sacred space in this world. It is a space where light and love manifest into form through us. It is a space of possibility, of creativity and of connectedness. The space is not more sacred than we are, for we are one with the space. We live in a field of all possibilities. Possibly our highest contribution is to radiate from our space the depth of who we are. Possibly our highest contribution is to act as a conduit, bringing in all the light and love that we can conduct. Possibly our highest contribution is to hold and nurture the sacredness of our space. Possibly our highest contribution is to allow our space to be one of transformation for ourselves as well as others. It is so easy for us, especially in the West, to get caught up in the “doing” of who we are and overlook the “being”. What we radiate out from our core, the vibration of the space we hold and depth of our listening add immeasurably to the wellbeing of the planet. This is a reminder of what you already know. In the darkness of the New Moon, you know everything already. As you embrace the dark, you put to an end the duality of dark and light, of night and day, of Sun and Moon, of good and bad, of male and female, of being and doing, of sacred and profane. You simultaneously become all of it and none of it. The space that you hold does not know duality. It is a place of oneness with all that is. The space you hold is both now and timeless, where those two concepts are compatible. The space that you hold has a physical presence in this world, at the same time as transcending time and space. You are all of this and so much more. And that is why we can join each other in the darkness of this New Moon, wherever you are as you read these words. Thank you for bringing your light to this world. Thank you for holding the space to bring in more light, for transformation and transcendence. All of creation benefits from your presence. All of creation benefits from you being just the way you are today. As we join our light together, we create sacred ground on which divine beings can play. As we play with those beings, we become one with them. And so it is. |
